Enhancing authenticity and traceability through a secure homologation program for communication goods

CSET is a technical solutions provider supporting communications regulation and supply chain security initiatives in Mozambique.

Working on behalf of INCM, the National Communications Institute of Mozambique, CSET plays a central role in strengthening transparency, compliance, and traceability across the country’s communications equipment market.

As communication technologies and imported electronic goods continued to expand across the region, ensuring product authenticity and regulatory compliance became increasingly important. INCM required a more secure and scalable homologation program capable of improving visibility across import operations while helping customs officials, retailers, and consumers verify the legitimacy of communications equipment entering the market.

To support these objectives, CSET partnered with Crane Authentication to develop a comprehensive authentication and traceability solution designed specifically for communications goods. The program required highly customized processes, secure authentication labels, and integrated digital infrastructure capable of supporting national level import verification and supply chain monitoring.

By combining advanced authentication technologies with traceability software and secure label production, Crane Authentication helped CSET and INCM establish a robust homologation marking program that strengthened supply chain visibility, enhanced product verification capabilities, and improved transparency across Mozambique’s communications equipment ecosystem.
